Candlescapes to escape the day . . . I don't think anyone I have given one of my candlescapes to has refused it! Here is a sampling of some of the candlescapes offered at the gallery. In addition, there are custom candle holders. Candles bases and holders are combined with other elements- as glass globes and beading. Click on the images below for a closer look.
The pieces to the right are very diverse candle holders. The leaf base can be used as a single holder for tapers. Remove the pin on the base and set a votive holder atop for a different look. Or, add the hurricane with the beading and a pillar- three different looks for one price.
Escape your hectic day with a candlescape- brew a cup of tea, or pour your favorite brew, enjoy the glow and listen to the quiet- you will find it is quite warm. Don't forget to use any candle or candlescape responsibly- always attended, avoiding drafts and flammable objects.
Wine Tubes- A Great Hostess Gift They include a bottle stopper in an organza pouch and my custom designed wine card. The cards, with a cluster of ribbons attached, are also offered in packaged sets- I call them "Wonderful Winers" . For special occasions there are some very fancy wine boxes that are fabric covered. They also come with cards and stoppers. I recently introduced wine bags made from a heavy woven fabric. These carriers with a gusset bottom and handles are each paired with a Wonderful Winer card. Present your favorite libation in a wine tube, carrier, or simply tie the Wonderful Winer card on the bottle itself- just don't present it in a paper bag!
Fashion accessories any Diva would love to have!
The hand knit and crocheted scarves, seen at left, are a just few of the large inventory of comfort accessories offered at the NIJAQ Gallery. Being a lover of all those wonderful girly things in life I design and make knitted pieces and jewelry. The top scarves are my hand knitted works. Some have fringe, some don't. Some have a charm dangling from them. They are knit from wool, acrylic blends, and mohair in a myriad of colors. Some of the scarves are knit by combining more than one yarn or combining a yarn and ribbon together. I also knit wraps in light, airy mohair or baby soft cotton yarns for summer use. The light weight wraps are perfect when going in and out of air conditioning.
My diva sister~ Carol Lewis of Munroe Falls, Ohio caught the bug and began crocheting scarves for the gallery. She is covertly known as CA Whimsy. Her scarves, bottom left, are also made from a variety of yarns. She has embellished some with wooden beads.
Seen below has been a very hot item- my Sunglass/Eyeglass Holders. Porcelain, glass, wood, metal, and/or plastic beads are strung on cords. They are in silver, gold tone, or mixed metals. No more misplacing your glasses!
Betsy Muller of Lawrenceville, Georgia creates Betsy's Bags.
By day Betsy designs kitchens for the Atlanta area. By night she designs and sews up these delightful bags. Each duffle style bag is made of fabulous fabrics, wonderful embellishments and details. Inside is finished just as beautifully as the exterior. Most have an interior pocket.
These "Smokin' Handbags", appropriately named, are made from authentic wooden cigar boxes. Delight Orzechowski, Canfield, Ohio, searches for unique boxes from northcoast Ohio to the gulf shores of Florida.
The handbags are detailed inside and out- from custom hinges she has devised to inside faux fur linings and mirrors. Each box is as different as the fashion statement you will be making. The selections change fast- here is a sampling.
