David Walsh . master bowl turner . Dover, Pennsylvania
He is always in search of the "perfect" tree- although no trees are destroyed for his work. He only selects trees that have been damaged or stand lifeless. He works in a range of species- cherry, chestnut, walnut and more. Each piece reveals it's inner secrets of pattern and texture. Offered are a limited number of his ikebanas, perfect vessels for flower arranging, simple and beautiful. Each piece contains a removable frog for arranging your prize stems fresh or dried- they will hold water. Works are signed, numbered, and labeled with the wood type. His work has been represented in the RENWICK GALLERY at the SMITHSONIAN and seen on Public Television.
