October rolls in with a flurry of color- it is pink rather than golden yellows, reds, browns.
Let us all acknowledge the breast cancer journey of so many, the fears, the tears, the laughter.
I have known 11 brave families that have endured the breast cancer journey. Yes- 11 individuals with a circle of friends & family that have put on their brave faces. In their honor I will forever remember all of them for their strength and courage.
And yes- sadly there have been 3 along the way that lost the fight. Although each left a circle of friends and family that eventually moved on with their life journey the memories of each live on.
I ask you today, throughout the year, to stand beside any and all you may know that are going through this journey. To help out with anything they may need- to support the families- remember it is just as difficult for them. And often times it does not end with the chemo & radiation. Many times there are side effects or other issues that present themselves as a result of the treatment or the breast cancer even years later.
Make it a community effort for it does take a community to be strong... to remain as one through fears, tears and laughter- the best support of all.
An evening in April- a visitor quietly strolls the water's edge- how wonderful life is when we let positive thoughts happen! This image was captured at a Wilmington Island Georgia marina . . .
Each day I stroll the beach and each day something new reveals itself.... a strange critter, a beautiful sky, a found object washed ashore as yet to be determined what it may have been.
In March I began working on a new series of beach photography that you may find seeping into your soul . . . a crossing over vibe and images portraying life's lessons past, present, and future.
This is a beginning of a series featuring us- humanity. I hope as you view each one you begin to feel, to extend to others a sense of community . . . of being one.
. . . Now this was a fine moment to capture on a sunny and warm February day! Yes- I did say February!
We spent a fabulous day aboard a restored 43 foot Chris Craft, Savannah Sunset Cruises, with Captain Richard Smith at the helm. The excursion along the coastal waters of Savannah Georgia took in views of the magnificent coastal homes of course but it was this simple moment that took front and center- a pod of dolphins playing along side us! They frolicked around for a bit and then bid farewell with a flip of the flippers....... thanks to Captain Richard and the crew, Captain Randy and Ryan!

It just may be a greeting card, flowers, chocolates, marketing ploy day but I don't care!
I received these lovely, colorful fleurs from my squeeze!
I will savor the fragrant scent of love as it swirls throughout the house!
I spent an afternoon on a shoot of an upcoming episode of "Property Virgins" featuring Egypt Sherrod. She is a beautiful soul with an aura of true warmth. The crew from Mandarin Films was equally friendly as was the local crew.... thank you for putting up with the neighborhood!
Did we miss out on the January thaw?
I am frozen in this moment- for now.
Be thankful for a heated home. Be thankful for food on the table.
Be thankful for good health.
Keep going.... Pray for green grass and warmth to thaw weary bones of those trapped in frozen worlds.
For those fortunate to have managed to escape winter's wrath .... keep going!
The image of the month was taken while ascending the lighthouse, Tybee Island Georgia.
