People have asked if the photos were captured from Idora Park, Myers Lake, Chippewa, all in and around northeast Ohio. The majority of my photos were taken over several years at Geneva on the Lake, Ohio.
It became a ritual heading to this "NorthCoast" town east of Cleveland the week before Memorial Day. The park was sparkling, awaiting the crowds soon to be present through the coming season.

Sadly, the park is now history with the exception of the ferris wheel. It now glides gracefully on the grounds of the Firehouse Winery in Geneva On The Lake. Additional images were taken at Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

What wonderful memories of a simpler time.

I found out after taking the "Dry Dock" photo that Tybee Island Georgia had an amusement park many years ago. A temporary amusement park graced Tybee's landscape again for a short while in the summer of 2009. It was created for scenes in a Miley Cyrus film. For a few locals it triggered thoughts of simpler, happier times....

"Ask Grandma", a fortune teller game, was discovered in the back of a souvenir shop on Tybee. This image along with a fortune teller game found in the back of a Geneva-on-the-Lake theater features some prophetic thoughts... of course both are for amusement only :) ...
